"How often should I check my eyesight? What's the ideal frequency?" This is a common question we receive from customers in our stores. The answers vary widely: some say once a month, some say once every three months, some say once every six months, and some even say to check only if vision becomes unclear. However, such answers often only serve to undermine our professionalism. So, as a professional in the optometry industry, how should we answer this question?

1

NO.1 For infants and young children

the optimal time for refractive screening is 6 months.

If the screening is normal, regular checkups every six months to a year are sufficient.

NO.2 For children and adolescents

if they do not have myopia, they should be checked every six months or a year. For those who already have myopia, it is recommended that they be checked every three months or six months. Adolescence is a critical period for a child's development and is also a crucial period for the development of vision and visual function. Vision should be checked promptly.

NO.3 For Adults
Myopia in adults is relatively stable, so an annual checkup is generally sufficient. For those with severe myopia, it's recommended to have your vision checked every six months and your fundus checked annually.
NO.4 For People with Special Medical Conditions
For those with high blood pressure and high blood sugar, a fundus check every six months is recommended.
