Understanding Fractal Curve Light Diffusion

In the previous article, we mentioned "fractal curve tiling technology" but did not elaborate on just how critical it is. Essentially, this technology utilizes "Hilbert curves" on the back surface of the lens to create thousands of tiny equilibrium points, generating countless instances of irregular optical diffuse reflection.

Many store owners ask: "How exactly do those microlens designs stop the axial length from elongating?" Underlying this is, in fact, a process of optical feedback to biological systems.

When a child wears the "Xiao Yuanman" lenses, 1,168 microlenses project light onto the peripheral regions of the retina, generating a distinct "myopic defocus" signal. Biologically, upon detecting this signal, the retina transmits instructions to the brain and sclera: "The current axial length is sufficient; stop excessive backward growth!" The higher the density of this peripheral defocus signal (1,168 microlenses), the stronger the feedback received by the brain. It is akin to installing a sensitive "anti-theft alarm" on the eye's axial growth mechanism; as long as the signal persists, the impulse for the eye axis to elongate is effectively suppressed.

There is an unspoken consensus within the industry regarding myopia control lenses: their effectiveness is directly proportional to the duration of wear. There is a vast difference in control efficacy between wearing them for 12 hours a day versus just 8 hours. Why do so many children resist wearing these lenses? With greater visual comfort and improved wearability, control signals are consistently delivered to the retina, effectively transforming "cutting-edge theoretical technology" into "practical, daily protection."
